CALL FOR ENTRIES TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INFORMATION AND ELIGIBILITY

Open to all photographers nationwide in the USA. All photographic media is welcome.

Topographies explores the notion of place and one's connection to a particular environment. The photographic works presented in this exhibition can range from a detailed exploration of a particular location to a visual documentation of one's personal interaction with their surroundings. The act of observing exterior or interior space through capturing the visual qualities of a location portrays a sense of visual mapping. As topographies encompass many different ways of describing and documenting location, from the physical landscape of a terrain, to the in depth history related to a geographic region, the works presented in this exhibition will represent what it means to examine topographically with the medium of photography.

Selection for participation will be based upon the series of work submitted by each artist, individual image selection will be made upon the creative merit and quality of individual images. A brief artist statement is optional.

Selected artists will have their work featured in the exhibition and online.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Select the number of images and click "add to cart". Check out at the PayPal form. Email your photographs to info@mwcponline.org in jpeg format: 72 dpi, no larger than 3000 x 3000 pixels. Name each file with your name and the corresponding number from the entry information below, for example: smith_jane_1.jpg. List the information requested below in a Microsoft Word document. Attach your photographs and info, and email to info@mwcponline.org. Provide the following information for each image submitted:

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHERS

Selected photographers will be posted online at www.mwcponline.com.  Our group email will be sent with a list of names of selected photographers. Photographers sumbitted must check this information for the list of names. Instructions for the exhibition will be sent to selected photographers via email.

EXHIBITION FORMAT

All photographic works should be ready to hang on the wall for the exhibition. MWCP offers printing and framing services, we also offer standard size rental frames.

SHIPPING OF WORK

Exhibiting artists are expected to cover the round trip shipping costs for their work. Please ship the work in reusable packaging along with return shipping for the package, for example: Preprinted return label, Fed Ex account or card number on a return shipping label.

ASSOCIATED FEES AND INFORMATION

Not all photograpers who enter the call for entries will be selected for the exhibition, and photographers who are selected may not have all entries chosen to be included in the exhibition. There is a 40% gallery commission for work sold. MWCP reserves the right to reproduce images for promotional and publication purposes, if necessary. Any work that differs significantly from the entry, or is sub-standard quality will be disqualified from the exhibit. MWCP cannot be responsible for damage or loss during shipping. Email addresses will be added to our email list. Entry fees are non-refundable, no exceptions. TOPOGRAPHIES
