CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INFORMATION AND ELIGIBILITY

Open to all photographers internationally.

The new Flatland Feature is here at MWCP. In this region that lacks appreciable topographic relief comes the Flatland Feature providing a widespread opportunity to photographers who are creating work about thus region or the multitude of other places, ideas and concepts. Flatland Feature is open to all subject matter and genre.

The Flatland Feature is an online feature that will showcase photographers work in a series format as a virtual gallery experience.

The photographic work will be available at the Midwest Center for Photography website for patrons of the gallery to go online and have the opportunity to purchase photographs. The featured photographers and will have an accompanying artist statement reference the photographic work and a brief biography for viewers to learn about the artists.

Each portfolio consists of 10 - 20 images. Featured artists have their work featured for a period of three months online.

Selection will be based upon the thematic series of photographic work submitted by each artist rather than solely on individual images. A brief artist statement and bio are required.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

Fill out the Entry Form above, upload your .jpg images (name each image file with your last name and first name and the corresponding number entered on the entry form above, for example: smith_jane_1.jpg, etc...) and provide the information requested. Click submit and you will then click the payment link, you will be redirected to the payment page. Enter the USD amount for the quanitity of images you would like to enter ($100 for 10 images, $150 for 15 images, $200 for 20 images) then check out. If you prefer to use our older system to submit your images, simply email your .jpgs to us at info@mwcponline.org and click here to submit payment.

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHERS

Selected photographers will be posted online at www.mwcponline.com. Our group email will be sent with a list of names of selected photographers. Instructions for the Flatland Feature will be sent to selected photographers via email.

FLATLAND FEATURE FORMAT

All photographs should be submitted as high resolution files suitable for viewing full screen online.

SHIPPING OF WORK

No shipping is necessary for the Flatland Feature. MWCP offers archival inkjet printing services for work sold, pricing found in our services section of the website.

ASSOCIATED FEES AND INFORMATION

Not all photographers who enter the call for photography submissions will be selected for the Flatland Feature, and photographers who are selected may not have all individual images chosen to be included in the feature. There is a 50% gallery commission for work sold.  In the event of a sale, the cost of the print and the frame will be deducted from the artists sale price at our services pricing. MWCP reserves the right to reproduce images for promotional and publication purposes, if necessary. Any work that differs significantly from the entry, arrives at the gallery after the deadline, or is sub-standard quality will be disqualified from the platform. Email addresses will be added to our email list. Entry fees are non-refundable, no exceptions. By submitting work to the call for submissions you agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this submission page.
